ECi Announces Integration of FMAudit® Software with Office Document Consulting’s DOC Assess™

FMAudit users can now access DOC Assess directly through their Central™ v4.0 interface

Fort Worth, TX—Monday, July 20, 2015  ECi Software Solutions (, a leader in industry-specific information technology solutions, today announced the integration of its market-leading FMAudit® managed print services (MPS) solution with Office Document Consulting Inc.’s DOC Assess™ equipment-fleet assessment tool. Fleet assessment is a labor-intensive process requiring multiple spreadsheets and extreme attention to detail. Doc Assess automates this process, saving hours of time and greatly reducing errors. The integration with FMAudit will give users of the MPS software the ability to help customers map their equipment fleets for maximum efficiency in both output and cost savings. FMAudit users can now directly access this tool within the software.

DOC Assess is a web-based assessment tool with a mobile mapping APP created by ODC for use by MPS providers. The DOC Assess process begins with the MPS provider loading a data collection agent at the customer site. Print/copy volumes, equipment inventory and customer floor plans are uploaded into DOC Assess. The equipment inventory is mapped to its physical location on the floor plans. These steps create the "existing" portion of the assessment. The MPS provider then loads a spreadsheet detailing the quantities of each model of equipment into DOC Assess and maps them to blank floor plans. The required financial parameters are input into DOC Assess and the end result is the "proposed" portion of the assessment. DOC Assess provides "current" and "proposed" comparisons with the annual savings clearly identified.

“We are very excited to facilitate direct access to DOC Assess for our customers,” said Kevin Tetu, ECi FMAudit’s President.  “This assessment tool will allow FMAudit users to furnish a valuable service to their customers by showing them how they can save money and increase output just by improving the physical layout of their fleet.  Floor mapping is integrated and can be viewed in FMAudit Central. It is important for us to give our dealers the tools needed to offer unique services that further their growth in the highly competitive MPS market and successfully transition them into managed services.”

“Providing dynamic connectivity between ECi FMAudit’s Central V4 and DOC Assess and incorporating DOC Assess mapped floorplans inside Central V4 have been a primary focus for us in Q1” said Mike Lamothe, ODC’s President. “It’s thrilling to see our combined efforts materialize the way they have—now we have a foundation to build on. Over the next six months, ODC and ECi FMAudit will be introducing additional elements that will give our end users an even greater competitive advantage.”
